Chanukah / Year End
November 30, 2021
As I write this letter, when “Giving Tuesday” falls on the third night of Chanukah, we ask for your support for Ashreinu’s unique programs.
Ashreinu provides educational opportunities for students in grades 1-12, using the proven methods of Maria Montessori, tailored for the Orthodox Jewish community. From our Montessori Elementary through middle and high school, we focus on the full range of religious, academic, social and emotional preparation of each student. Our children are respected for who they are, not expected to squeeze into a mold that isn’t right for them. Ashreinu programs have been offering robust small group learning, with individualized curricula since 2013. We encourage and expect students to take responsibility for their education, providing and developing the tools with which to achieve excellence in both religious and secular studies.
We believe that every child should have the opportunity to access this individualized, child-centered education model. To that end, this year’s matching campaign is designed to benefit our scholarship program so that we can continue to meet the needs of our students. Student need has only increased during the pandemic. Now through January 15th, 2022 thanks to a group of anonymous donors, your donation will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $15,000.
We can’t meet the match without you. To donate electronically, donate through PayPal Giving Fund paypal.com/us/fundraiser/charity/1268720 or by Zelle (firstname.lastname@example.org) to minimize fees. We are also able to accept stock transfers and mutual fund donations. Please contact our Treasurer (email@example.com) for a donation receipt or for more details on stock and mutual fund donations. To donate by check, please make payable to Ashreinu School for Girls (our legal name) and mail to 1840 University Blvd West, Wheaton, MD 20902. All donations (stock, PayPal, Zelle, check) are tax-deductible and will be included toward the $15,000 matching grant.
May we merit to fully fund the scholarships and to see the light in our students’ eyes continue to shine. Happy Chanukah!
