Customized Educational Offerings for Students Grades 7-12
Ashreinu welcomes students in any educational setting - homeschool, public school, or another Jewish day schools - to participate in our Middle and High School programs on a course-by-course basis.
For girls, we ensure Judaics courses are offered in the afternoon to allow maximum participation by students in public school.
Art Program
At Ashreinu, all students learn the basic concepts of drawing and the elements of design. This program is designed to inspire and motivate young artists to express themselves creatively. Students study style from the art masters and are guided to finding their own unique style.
The pace of this class depends on the age and maturity of the individual students in this class, as well as the group dynamics of the class as a whole.
Our art teacher, Ms. Gould, incorporates academic disciplines into art projects. Students learn how to write artist’s statements and create art in a variety of different mediums: painting, drawing, collage, papier-mâché, and ceramics. Students are introduced to art from around the world.
At the end of the academic year, each student has an art portfolio and an online digital art portfolio that can be shared with friends and family.
